Dr. Nanavati sponsors support drives for Oklahoma and India

Veterinarian Dr. T. Nanavati is sponsoring a book drive for India and, separately a drive for household items to support victims of the tornado in Oklahoma.
Illiteracy is a common problem in India, he wrote, and countless people cannot read or write. Many people are hungry for more education, but they do not have the tools.
Books for kids up to grade 12 are needed. Old magazines are also welcome. Box them and mark them Odisha, a state in India.
There are two drop-off locations, the Ansonia Animal Hospital, 876 South Main St., Seymour; or the Oxford-Seymour Animal Hospital, 105 Oxford Rd, Oxford.
In addition, Dr. Nanavati is organizing a collection of household items for tornado victims in Oklahoma.
He is looking for items of daily living, such as tooth brushes, paste, shaving items, shampoos and soap, bed sheets, clothing, shoes.
When you clean out your basement, don’t trash items you no longer use. Pack them in boxes, tape them, and drop them at the offices.
For details call (203) 735-9915.
