Seymour High softball to host Pink game

The Seymour High School Lady Wildcat softball team will host its first Pink night for Seymour Pink.

Seymour Pink is a community’s fight against breast cancer. It all began with a simple fundraising goal. The goal was to raise the most money for the Susan G. Komen three-day walk in Boston. This small goal turned into a community’s outreach to fight a horrific disease — breast cancer.

To date, through fundraising efforts, Seymour Pink has raised well over $250,000 in the fight against breast cancer and has made substantial donations to local hospitals. The organization, with the leadership of Seymour High teacher, Mary Deming, President, helps individuals personally fighting the cancer battle by helping to defray some of the financial burden.

The Seymour High School  Lady Wildcat softball program would like to help in this battle by hosting this special pink game on Monday, April 22 at 5 p.m.

The ‘Cats will face league rival Holy Cross. There will be food to eat and raffle prizes for some lucky winners.  Mrs. Deming will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
